To encourage the students for opting Agricultural Meteorology as their profession, Association of Agrometeorologists has instituted Best M. Sc. Thesis Award in year 2004.
Similarly, with the donations received from the Department of Agricultural Meteorology, B A College of Agriculture, Anand an award "Dr. P. D. Mistry Gold Medal for Best Ph. D Thesis in Agricultural Meteorology" was also instituted in year 2004.
These awards are awarded annually subject the receipts of the nominations. The details of announcement and nomination forma are available on the website. It is also published in the June issues of the Journal of Agrometeorology.
To encourage good quality research, the best paper award is also instituted by the Association in year 2006. The papers publishes in the Journal of Agrometeorology are reviewed critically and the Best paper is awarded once in two years.
