“Dr. P.D Mistry Award for the Best Ph. D. Thesis in Agricultural Meteorology”

“Dr. P.D Mistry Award for the Best Ph.D Thesis in Agricultural Meteorology” is instituted in the honour of Dr. P.D. Mistry, Ex. Professor and Head, Department of Agricultural Meteorology, B.A. College of Agriculture, Gujarat Agricultural University, Anand. The medal is to be awarded annually with the funds collected by the department and donated to Association of Agrometeorologists, Anand for this purpose. The award shall be restricted in the subject of Agricultural Meteorology/Agricultural Physics (Meteorology) only. Thesis recommended by the university/institute for award of Ph. D degree during academic year starting from July 01 of the calendar year to June 30 of the succeeding year will be taken into consideration for the award during the succeeding year. Only that thesis shall be entitled for the award, which had not won any other award previously.

Awardees will be presented a gold medal and a certificate at the annual General Body meeting of the Association. In addition, the recipient may be considered for reimbursement of expenses such as TA/DA, registration fee etc. incurred by him/her for attending such meeting of the Association.

Entries are invited in the prescribed format for consideration of Award. The last date for receipt of entries will be 15 August.
