The Association of Agrometeorologists was formed at Anand, Gujarat, India in March 1999 at the behest of scientists working in the fields related to Agrometeorology in different parts of the country to provide them a suitable platform where they could meet and widen the horizon of their knowledge by mutual exchange of views and experiences and research results through the medium of a publication in the form of a journal. Fifteen members mostly from Anand formed 11-members executive council, opened an account with Central Bank of India, Anand, prepared bye-laws and got it registered under Society and Trust registration act.
